General Registry is one of the most important directorates of Sulaimani University which belongs to the office of UOS vice president for students' affairs. This directorate manages the affairs of the students from all the UOS colleges, like "transfer" of students among different colleges and universities. It also sets annual plan for student admission through which to admit new students to the university.

Another task of this directorate is issuing graduation certificates in both (Kurdish and English) languages for graduates of (Bachelor, High Diploma, Master, and PhD). Also, this directorate will temporarily become the "Admission Consulting Center" for Sulaimani city, every year.
