The College of Dentistry is established in 1996 as a joined effort from the Kurdistan Regional Government, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Kurdistan, the presidency of the University of Sulaimani and local dental professionals from the city of Sulaimani. Since then great developments occurred in opening new departments for the dental clinics, new laboratories and development of a specialist teaching staff.
